The European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) and symposium are part of the current EAHEP (EU-Asia Higher Education Platform) project.
Following the success of previous European Higher Education Fairs (EHEF), the 4th edition will take place on 31 October and 1 November 2009 at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Bangkok.
The EHEF is funded by the European Union and provides a platform for representatives of the EU Member States and Higher Education Institutions (HEI) to inform fair visitors about higher education opportunities in the 27 European Union Member States.
At EHEF Bangkok 2009, visitors will be able to visit the information booths where they can meet the representatives of the Dutch, and different European Higher Education Institutions and get individual counseling about study programmes, enrolment procedures, scholarships, language requirements, living conditions and other related issues. In addition, country presentations will be held where students can find out more about the respective higher education system, study opportunities and scholarship programmes.
The fair will take place simultaneously with the OCSC international education fair. This will be the largest European education event in the country, which aims to provide an interactive platform for representatives of EU Member States and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to inform Thai students, their parents and their study advisors about study opportunities in Europe.
EHEF 2009 is organized by a consortium consisting of Nuffic, EUA, and DAAD. Nuffic Neso is responsible for the implementation of the fair in Bangkok. Nuffic Neso (Netherlands Education Support Office) Thailand has been opened in Bangkok in March 2009. Together with EHEF, the European Higher Education Symposium will also be held on 30 October at the Dusit Thani Hotel for those working in Thai higher education industry to exchange ideas and update information with European universities.
