EHEF Bangkok 2009
25 May 2009
European Higher Education Fair and Thailand-EU Higher Education symposium will take place in Bangkok from 30 October to 1 November 2009.
The EHEF Bangkok 2009 will take place at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center, Bangkok, on 31 October and 1 November 2009. This event will be implemented in close cooperation with the OCSC international education fair, and will be the largest European education event in the country. It aims at providing an interactive platform for representatives of EU Member States and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to inform Thai students, their parents and their study advisors about study opportunities in Europe.
A symposium will precede the fair and will be held on 30 October 2009. The symposium aims at providing a platform for high-level dialogue between government officials, key senior managers and policy makers from Thailand and Europe and representatives from higher education institutions and academic networks.
EHEF Bangkok 2009 is part of the EU funded EU-Asia Higher Education Platform (EAHEP) project, a European Union sponsored initiative to promote cooperation in higher education between Asian and European countries. This initiative comprises a series of completed and ongoing projects that contribute to the development and internationalisation of higher education in both regions. The implementation of EAHEP project has been assigned to a consortium composed by the European University Association (EUA), DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and Nuffic (Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education).
