Asia Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) is organising the 7th annual APAIE Conference & Exhibition at Mahidol University, Bangkok, during April 4-6, 2012.

APAIE is poised to ride the Next Wave and satisfy its vision of profound and expanding regional scholarly collaboration. Conceived to unite the institutions of the Asia pacific region, APAIE is now recognized as the foundation that supports international educators, students, and institutions. The Conference theme for this year is 'University's Social Responsibility fo the Benefit of Mankind'.

What is also exciting in April is the Dutch focused Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Congress organised by the Thailand Research Fund

The Royal Golden Jubilee (RGJ) Ph.D. Congress is organized as a forum for RGJ-PhD students to present their research progress through oral and posters presentations, take note of comments, suggestions and opinions on their work from subsequent discussions. They will also listen to recent advances as well as topics of current interest given by experts in their fields. It is expected that there will be about 500 participants at the Congress. This year the focus will be on Dutch universities and research collaborations between Thai and the Netherlands. Four Dutch universities will be presented; namely, Utrecht University, University of Twente, Erasmus University Medical Center, and University Medical Center Groningen, as well as NWO, the Dutch research funding body.

The Congress will be organized during 6-8 April 2012 at Jomtien Palm Beach Resort, Pattaya City, Chonburi Province. Tentative programme of the congress can be found here and topics and timetable of oral presentations can be found here.

At this Congress, we plan to establish an International Research Network (IRN) amongst Dutch and Thai researchers. So we would like to invite you to participate in formulating such a network as well as participate in other sessions of the RGJ-PhD Congress XIII.
