The grading system in the Netherlands ranges from 1 to 10 with 10 as the full score. Below is the percentage of the distribution of the scores given out to secondary schools examination in 2006.
10 = 0.50%
9 = 2.70%
8 = 14.00%
7 = 40.00%
6 = 35.00%
5 = 6.80%
4 = 0.08%
3 = 0.03%
2 = -
1 = -
As you can see very small group of students get full score. It is part of the grading culture of the Netherlands.
