Research universities
Nov 04, 2010
Majority of Dutch research universities are government-funded, but there are also some private research universities.
These institutions essentially train students in academic study and research. However, many study programmes also have a professional component and most graduates actually find work outside the research community.
The universities vary in size, with enrollments ranging from 6,000 to 30,000 students. Altogether they enroll some 205,000 students.
